Airfoil Wind Tests

In the 1930s, the NASA Langley Research Center conducted various tests of wing sections in 6 by 19 inch Transonic Tunnel. To show the flow of air over the airfoil they utilized a method of mixing smoke with the air to make the invisible visible.
